Frequently Asked Questions
Acentrik currently uses Polygon Mainnet for Production. For more information on connecting to the Polygon Mainnet, there are further instructions on our starter kit here.
You may contact our Support Team here for further assistance.
Currently we are working on subscription fees for the various users on our platform and updates will be further communicated.
On Acentrik there are two types of user roles – publishing and/or consuming. To ensure qualified transactions, only upon account validation with an endorsed enterprise contract, your user role will be assigned based on your contract administrator’s preference.
Acentrik is domain agnostic – which means that we are not bound by a particular industry for data assets available on the marketplace.
An Algorithm can either be Public or Private. By making an Algorithm Public, Data Consumers can download a copy of the Algorithm and/or also use it paired with a compatible Dataset. By making an Algorithm Private, Data Consumers can only use this Algorithm if paired with a compatible Dataset published in the same edge computing node. For more information, you can read on the various types of data assets here.
An Asset Management Token on Acentrik represents your control to your Asset on the marketplace. By publishing your Asset on Acentrik, this token will be stored in the Data Provider’s connected Wallet, as an ERC-721 token.
A Datatoken is randomized unique identifier for a Data Asset which is held by the Data Provider upon publishing the Asset. When a Data Consumer purchases that Asset, the datatoken is exchanged with the Data Provider, providing access to the Asset securely.
The connection statuses that you see in the individual asset card indicate if the Data Asset is connected to the platform after the system has performed a check. If it is red, the Asset is currently not reachable on the platform. You are still able to purchase the Asset, but transactions on the Blockchain may fail.
No data will be stored on the platform. Only the encrypted metadata is stored on-chain, on the Blockchain network. For more information, on the types of data stored on the Blockchain, you can read here.
Yes, you can edit selected information of your data assets, from details of your Asset to connectivity of your published Asset. For more information, you can read here.

It is a set of legal details set by you as a Data Provider in highlighting dos and don’ts on consuming your Data Asset. You can either select from our list of open licenses or provide an endpoint link to your custom license.
Revenue from the sale of that Data Asset will go to the wallet address used to publish that specific asset. Should you need an alternative revenue account, you can key in another wallet address during publishing or edit it at a later stage. Please note that an alternative revenue account is asset-specific and needs to be applied across other assets as required.
Please feel free to contact Acentrik’s Support Team here, and we will be the connecting point for both you and the Data Provider.
Yes, you can retry a failed transaction during any of the steps of the consumption. By clicking Retry, it will re-trigger at the point where the transaction has failed with the additional gas fees incurred. No gas fees will be incurred if the retry if triggered for the step requiring wallet signature and a download or computation will be initiated.
After downloading your preferred Wallet, get started by sending USDC tokens or MATIC tokens to it. You can choose to do so by selecting a platform to transfer tokens to your Wallet, such as Coinbase or Moonpay. For more information you can see our starter kit here.
You can price your data free-of-charge, or fix a specific price as a Premium option. Upon selection of either option, you will not be able to edit price type after publishing. However, you can still edit your premium pricing amount after publishing your Asset.
Data exchanges are facilitated by USDC, gas fees will also be applicable for data transactions, which are in MATIC tokens.
It will be the cost of the selected Data Asset, gas fees for each data exchange and transaction fees for the platform.
Gas fees are transaction fees to process and validate transactions on a Blockchain network. The amount of gas fees is dependent on the relevant network connected. Please note that the amount changes on a real-time basis.
